Musical Theatre Extravaganza

6/12/26 - 6/14/26 at the MATCH – Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston

Musical Theatre Extravaganza brings three musical theatre performances to MATCH for one weekend only, June 12–14, 2026. Presented by The Garden Theatre, the weekend includes Songs for a New World, Wendy Taylor’s solo cabaret Not Your Ingenue, and From Seed to Stage, a special celebration of The Garden Theatre’s first five seasons. Audiences can purchase individual tickets for each performance or buy a weekend pass to see all three shows and save $20.

The weekend opens with Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World, performing June 12 and 13 at 8:00 PM. This moving song cycle explores moments of choice, change, and self-discovery through a collection of powerful musical stories. On June 13 at 2:00 PM, Houston vocalist Wendy Taylor takes the stage in Not Your Ingenue, a bold one-woman cabaret featuring songs from shows including Cabaret, Jagged Little Pill, Burlesque, SIX, and more. The weekend closes June 14 at 2:00 PM with From Seed to Stage, a one-night-only cabaret celebrating five seasons of The Garden Theatre with returning artists from past productions including Into the Woods, Cruel Intentions, Bonnie & Clyde, Reefer Madness, The Color Purple, Assassins, and Company.

Performances take place at MATCH, located in Midtown Houston. Tickets range from $15–$35 depending on the performance, with a full weekend pass available for those who want to experience the entire Musical Theatre Extravaganza.
