Who Belongs on the Mountain? An unlikely group takes on a “Tanzanian-only” ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro in this sharp satire. The dramedy follows a Tanzanian-American tourist, two missionaries, and their guide as they make their way toward the “Roof of Africa.” They must confront questions of access, identity, and who deserves a place on the mountain.

Fresh from a hit Broadway run starring Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone, this cheeky comedy centers on recently divorced, middle-aged, and quintessentially Midwestern Sharon who reluctantly rents out a room to Robyn, a worldly, spiritually hip vegan from New York. Polar opposites, the women initially clash but soon find themselves confiding their deep dissatisfactions with life to each other.

Alley All New Festival is back this fall with three days of staged readings. Since its inception in 2016, the festival has become an incubator for world premieres and will feature new works by the boldest voices of American Theatre.

Founding Artistic Director Alric Davis stars as Victor Frankenstein alongside acclaimed actor Steve Scott as the Creature in Tim Kelly’s adaptation of Frankenstein. Driven by ambition and a desire to conquer death, Victor Frankenstein creates life — and immediately rejects the being he has brought into the world. Shunned by his creator and feared by society, the Creature is forced into isolation, learning humanity only through observation while being denied it at every turn. Frankenstein challenges audiences to reconsider who the real monster is: the one who is feared, or the world that refuses to see his humanity.
