About the production

Mozart’s adventure unfolds in a whimsical nineteenth-century hotel, where a suffragette Queen of the Night and a chef named Sarastro inhabit a world of puppets, surprises, and magical trials. This imaginative staging pairs comedy with the opera’s search for wisdom and love. Sung in German with projected English translation. Approximately 3 hours 10 minutes, including one intermission.
